Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia country and a have huge of population including the expats who lives in there. Last news Jakarta has 12 million peoples.

Scuba diving outdoor sports is very common there now, especially among the expats. Lots of locales like artist, businessman, professional workers, and executives now is starting to have this Scuba diving sport as one of their hobby beside…night life… )

Even Jakarta is located near the sea as the biggest harbor city, Jakarta it self doesn’t have any dive spots surround it. Divers in Jakarta have to drive several hours to the small harbor and take a boat to go to Thousand Islands diving area, Krakatau dive spots also well known as Krakatoa, and other small islands nearby Jakarta which are some still okay to do the scuba dive activities there.

Compare to other city in Indonesia, Jakarta have the most Scuba divers which is not working in Scuba Diving industry. They dive in the week end and only for releasing their stress after working the whole week. Believe it or not but it is really work.

The easiest way to dive there in Jakarta is just contact a Jakarta dive center and following their diving program. Usually they offer daily dive trip, 2 0r 3 days dive package. Therefore many Jakarta diving center or dive operator growing up from a small business and even new diving operator is coming up.
